Such a long day

Today was incredibly long, and we all are exhausted! Datong City is a mad house. They have no rules when it comes to driving and there are millions of people out on the streets! Today we thought we were traveling to Datong City to get Riley's passport picture made and to visit her orphanage. When we got there, we discovered that the police station only needed a copy of our passport s and that was it. We also did not go to the orphanage due to lack of communication. So basically we traveled 4 hours just for a copy of paper, and then 4 hours back. Mom has been extremely frustrated today because of not being able to go to the orphanage. She was looking forward to talking to Riley's caregiver who took care of Riley the past 2 years and finding out all about Riley as much as possible. On top of that, her back has been killing her and dad just not went to plug in her heating pad and blew a fuse and killed the pad! Right about now Gary is about to lose it, but we all are about to go to bed and get some rest. Thankfully we have alllllllllllllllllllllllllllll day tomorrow to do nothing! The weather here has been perfect. It feels like fall and always has a constant wind. This is def a plus since we were thinking miserable heat! We haven't been able to do any shopping yet, but hopefully we will in Guangzhou.

Riley is doing so well bonding with us. Daddy makes her laugh, of course, but she still cries when he holds her. She is smart, and when you hold her she just sits there and studies you. She is so content not having to play, always justs likes to be cuddled. She isn't very interested in her toys or stuffed animals, except her balls. She loves throwing them back and forth which means she is going to be athletic! Her smile lights up a room, and she is the sweetest thing ever. It is hard to think that she will be 2 in a month because she is so tiny! We put her in a 24 month outfit today and it hung on her! But not for long...this girl can EAT! Just like her big sis :) She has ate ALL DAY and has ate everything we have put in front of her. We have actually had to stop feeding her so she wouldn't get sick. Riley was an angel last night! She slept the whole night and didn't wake up once! Her sleeping pictures are precious.

We all are looking forward to a free day tomorrow and we will all probably be on the computer more! Love and miss everyone.
