I'm going to attempt to make sense of my thoughts tonight, or should I say this early a.m., in case I don't get the chance tomorrow evening. The fact that we are so close to leaving for China is surreal to me. Five months ago we had no idea that we would be meeting our little girl this year. Only 6 weeks ago, I was devastated by our immigration delay. Tonight is such a different story. I have such a perfect sense of peace about this physical, emotional, and spiritual journey that we are about to embark upon. Don't get me wrong; there is still much to be done in these remaining few hours. However, I can already feel the prayers on our behalf. God has loved on us so much this week through our friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, and new friends that we have met on this adoption journey. We feel so blessed, and the best is still yet to come!
We covet your prayers for our family specifically our safety, health, and most of all, for our sweet Riley's adjustment to her new family. You may be familiar with the saying that it takes a village to raise a child. Well, Riley Grace has her village ready and waiting to love on her! We will miss you all as we head to China, but know that we are taking you with us in our hearts.
