Riley's Room....

Many of you have asked how Riley's room is decorated. If I had to name one theme, then it would be eternal summer. Her room is a combination of beautiful nature scenes, along with God's promises written as the border around the top of her room. My dear friend, Carlita Becker helped bring my ideas to life through her creative talent. She did much research as she prepared to paint Riley's room, right down to the tiniest detail of the baby birds and the wings of the butterflies. She also confirmed the correct symbols used in Riley's Asian name. There is a weeping cherry tree complete with a bird's nest, modeled after one we had in our front yard. A beautiful pond stocked with fish is painted low on her wall so that Riley can admire the colors and sizes of the different fish. The border around the window matches her bedding. Also, there are butterflies throughout the room. I love butterflies and the lesson we can learn from them about being new creations in Christ! I cannot wait to see Riley sleeping and playing in her special room designed just for her!

  1. Her room is beautiful. I have seen it once, but couldn't remember all of the details. I have something that I would like to make for her. I can't wait until she's here! Jenn

  2. Deanna the room is the most beauitiful room I have ever seen. The imagination and creativity is amazing. You ladies are so talented. Soon sweet Rielly Grace will be sleeping in your arms while you rock her or fast asleep in her comfy crib. It cant wait for her arrival. I think about it often. Congratulations to you and the rest of your family. ~ Wendy
