Hey guys, I never got back on the computer last night so here is the news about yesterday. As you all know, our first night with Riley was perfect! Took a bath good, layed down good, and slept the whole night. This was not the case the 2nd night. 2 days ago was when we went to Datong City and was such a long, rough day for us all. That night the stress eventually got to Riley, and she was not a happy camper once we got home. She did not want to be bathed and she def did not want to lay down. We were up with her till 3:30 in the morning with her screaming her head off. She eventually fell asleep. Yesterday when she woke, we hoped it would be a better day. We went to breakfast and of course the food cheered her up. After breakfast we went back upstairs. We could tell Riley was still very tired from not sleeping much the night before so we tried laying her down for a nap. Laying her down for her nap was about as bad as laying her down to sleep. She finally fell asleep, probably from crying so hard. She took a good 2 hour nap, and we decided to get out of the hotel for dinner. We went to Mcdonald's, and it was amazing. We all craved American food, and it hit the spot. Riley got her first happy meal and loved it! The first part of yesterday was miserable, but we ended up having so much fun at dinner (when Riley was in a much better mood)!
We were scared last night at bedtime not knowing how she would act. Fortunately, she did not cry one tear and slept through the night again. We are hoping this is how it will always be! Today we are about to get breakfast, then we are going to a museum and a park today to do some touring. I am attaching more pics on the email.
